1. SPELLING MISTAKES
Proofread your CV!
A spelling mistake, a missing word or the wrong form of a word are all serious flaws. Use spellcheck software, ask someone you know to proofread your CV. A clear and error-free CV will increase your chances of making progress in your job hunt.
2. LACK OF ACCURACY
Specify the projects that you have worked on. Only mention those which are relevant to the position for which you are applying. It is important to demonstrate your skills in solving the problems you meet, rather than making an exhaustive list of your missions in all your jobs.
3. LONG SENTENCES
Get to the point!
Your CV should only run to one page. Long sentences carry the risk of masking your performances. Use bullet points for better clarity and structure. Recruiters will find the information they need more easily.
4. AN “ORDINARY” CV
Stand out from the crowd!
You must personalise your CV to attract the attention of the recruiter. Use keywords which best define you. Make your values, qualities and acquired skills stand out clearly.
5. WRONG CONTACT DETAILS
Some applicants forget to provide their contact information or forget to update it. Recruiters won’t waste their time searching for your details to contact you, even if your profile fits their needs. Therefore, don’t forget to update your CV.
6. INAPPROPRIATE PHOTO
Smile, you’re on camera!
A photo is not a prerequisite on a CV, to avoid risk of physical discrimination.
However, if you want to include a photo:

- Pay attention to your appearance
